This course describes the outcomes required to trim and cut felled trees with a chainsaw. It is intended for use in situations where the production of timber is not the primary focus of the activity. The course also includes equipment maintenance.
This course involves trimming and cutting felled trees with a chainsaw in a variety of work settings including a forest, agriculture, domestic, local council and emergency services environment.
Content
This Course is Level 1 basic chainsaw operation - you will learn:
- Prepare for trimming and cutting
- Visually assess felled trees
- Plan cutting
- Conduct trimming and cutting
- Conduct equipment maintenance
